Although not as famous as the original, this budget-friendly shrimp scampi is quick, easy to make, and is sure to be a new favorite among friends and family.

Ingredients:
1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon olive oil
3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
1½ white wine
2 tablespoons lemon juice
¼ teaspoon dried basil
¼ teaspoon dried oregano
¼ teaspoon dried rosemary
¼ teaspoon dried thyme
½ cup butter
2 tablespoons parsley leaves, minced
¼ cup Parmesan cheese, shredded (optional)
Preparation:
Flavor shrimp with salt and pepper.
In a pan with heated oil, sauté shrimp on medium-high heat for about 2 minutes or until color changes to pink. Transfer onto a plate for later.
In the same pan, sauté garlic for 30 seconds or until aromatic. Pour in whitewine and lemon juice. Stir, then bring to a boil. Adjust heat to medium-low and cook for an additional 4 minutes. Mix in basil, oregano, rosemary, and thyme. Then, add butter gradually. Mix until completely melted and blended with other ingredients. Remove from heat.
Return shrimp to pan and add parsley. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
Sprinkle Parmesan on top, if desired. Serve.
